Hyperion Systems Engineering - Mr. Stavros Spanos

Stavros Spanos received his diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a major in Production & Industrial Organization from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (1990). He worked for Metelco SA, the largest Greek PCB manufacturing company as Production Planning & Control Systems Analyst/Developer and later as Production Manager. He then obtained an MBA in IT Management from City University Business School in London (1993). From 1994 to 2000 he worked as the General Manager of Tradex, a leading Cypriot electrical appliances imports & retail chain group. Following a merger, which he initiated and overviewed, he joined Hyperion in January 2001 as Deputy Managing Director where he undertook a number of growth related initiatives, among which the launch of the Hyperion MES division and the establishment of the company's Middle East subsidiary in Bahrain. Since 2003, Stavros is based in Moscow as the Managing Director of Hyperion/AspenTech Russia, the company's Russian subsidiary, which he launched and established at the same year.
